Kawachinagano is blessed
with the resource of its abundant forests.
However, local forestry management has been experiencing
some troubling times, due to the aging and dwindling numbers of
experienced forestry workers who would be able to best utilize
this natural bounty. At
the Forestry Association, the next generation of forestry workers
receives specialist training, while new machinery is introduced
with the purpose of further streamlining its operations.
Furthermore, under the concept of "Forests Of The People"
where citizens, forestry workers and government work together
for the cultivation and utilization of local forests, we are working
to realize a new type of approach to forests and forestry. |
